I use this stuff, it is good and the lifetime warranty is international:
http://www.memoryamerica.com/2fk225672800at.html 136 + postage 4x2gb.
or http://www.memoryamerica.com/fk251272800a.html 174 + postage 2x4gb.
They posted 2 sets to me at $32 postage each. 16GB for the price of 8GB in the UK back in 2008 when I bought it.

Hi all,
Everyone keeps banging on about this Apple event 9th Sept (today), but when is it in UK time?
I'm not sure about the time differences.

Okay, so on a side note, does anyone know if there is going to be another Elder scrolls game on 360 any time soon?
Back in Bethesda were predicting ES5 in late 2010. But, that was before Fallout 3 came out, and turned into a pretty big hit. My guess is the new ES game was put on hold while they worked on the DLC for FO3, and now Fallout: New Vegas, which comes out later this year. But, if I were to guess, I don't see why a new ES game couldn't be on their radar for next year. Nothing official, obviously, but it is a very big, very popular franchise, so a new game in the next couple years is pretty much a given.

Here is a sample of what you are looking at if you get the screen replaced.iPhone Screen Repair (http://techrestore.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18174&cat=359&page=1)
Thanks, but this is my backup phone. I know I can probably replace the LCD and sell it for higher but I'd rather just sell it outright. The best offer I received is $240, will sell for $245 + shipping if anyone here is interested.

I had recently installed the trial version of My3G mainly to use for Skype & Facetime and had noticed battery life was really being effected (without use of said apps), then I started to notice the remnants of a banner advertisement at the top of the screen when unlocking and switching between apps, after uninstalling I am not seeing those ads any longer so I assume it was My3G doing it.
First question, has anyone else noticed these background ads? Second question, if you purchase My3G does it still do that?

Apple retail stores do not take returns on online ordered items.
They have to be sent back at your cost unless if it's defective or damaged during shipment.
It takes about 2-3 weeks after they receive the items for the credit to show up in your account.
Oh, and 20% restocking fees for all open boxes within 30 days of purchased.

The other thing that comes to mind is if you have a boot floppy you can stick that in and boot it from that, rather than the internal HD

Fine, fine. *envy*
Damn, always playing catch up. When i used wireframes, everyone was using flat shading. When i reached there, everyone was using texture mapped gourauds and phongs. After that was ray-tracing and now when i have implemented it with soft shadows, everyone is using path-tracing and derivatives. And my editor uses steam power. It took years to make.
Feel like Janina. (It's a Pin-Up. Model over 18 and in Finland pigtails no toddler make)

Scientists have warned that a really big solar eruption could destroy satellites and wreck power and communications grids around the globe if it happened today.
lol we're so insignificant. Our tiny little planet's power and communications grids can be destroyed by the sun farting.

Hi,
A lot of us are in a similar situation.
1) There are tons or remote tools. You can SSH using putty to get terminal access. You can use Logmein or Bomgar for a remote control solution. The best option is a good VNC client(mac has a VNC support enable it in sharing). I haven't found one I like but i'm using a mac as my primary so it doesn't really matter.(If you find a good VNC client let me know for my co-workers.
2)You have much better scripting in Mac. You can use BASH scripts, Perl scripts or Apple Scripting. Way better than BAT files.
3)There are various options for giving you group policy options. Macs don't have Group Policy but have MCX or Managed Client Setting for OSX. Extend your AD schema(you can google it), you can get an apple server and build the Magic Triangle or buy a third party mac management solution. There is also some goodies coming in Lion that may solve your problem if you can be patient.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks,
Peter

Pssst...
...you've gotta attach that file. *Then* it's a winner ;)
I couldn't - The file size is too large. :(
(thanks for pointing that out though) I can downsize it's quality/physical size to fit the attachments but I can't replace the current one with it - it won't look right.
edit: done

I am looking for 30 pin memory for either a LCII or a mac IICX thanks! could you PM me your zip code so I can figure out shipping? thanks
Hey-
Zip code is 14052. Just ship whatever is cheapest, time is no object.
The 30-pin I have is from a Mac SE/30. Would that work?

The store does it because they know they'll make more by doing this (and this is especially true in the case of an item which might be hard to findnot that this is really the issue anymore). It is capitalism at work. Kinda sucks for the consumer who wants the non-bundled item, though.
Some states have laws against this. :)

I have a slight predicament. I recently deleted iChat because I was having major issues with it. (was hanging OSX) I tried to use Pacifist to extract it off the installation CDs, but my disk 2 is damaged rendering it unreadable.
Is there any other way possible of getting ichat back?
I must also note that I also deleted the receipt copy by mistake. :(
thanks,
Bran
