I tried all suggestions in this thread and the song still won't play on Mac's IE or Firefox. It is not just my computer that won't cooperate, it is also the client's computer.
Try this link... http://www.saucedesigns.com/sauce.html (warning - the song will immediately play when you load this link... it is designed to be a pop-up that is initiated by the customer... so they don't have to listen if they don't want to!)
You will see how the song plays on Mac's Safari, but not IE/Firefox. It plays just fine on IE/Firefox for PC, so it isn't a browser-specific thing, it has to be a Mac/PC thing. Right?
Thanks!
Define your mime type in .htaccess...If that doesn't work, call your host and they may be able to update the settings..

I own neither, but I'd probably choose the Speck case for the better protection.

HDMI is basically DVI + Audio. VGA can't compare nor can component when it comes to bandwidth.

My 3G S iPhone died and I ended up replacing it with the iPhone 4.
When I was at the Apple Store the sales person brought up the two current AT&T iPhone data plans--my $30 unlimited iPhone Data plan was the other option.
The salesperson asked me if I wanted to change my data plan or if I wanted to continue with the unlimited plan.
I continued with my unlimited plan. I was also worried that they would have downgrade me to one of the capped iPhone data plans-glad that wasn't the case.

I threw my free case on the trash, I hated the damn thing. Then again I never had the signal bars problem. I now only use my different styles of speck case just for protection of my clumsy hands.

The goal would be to have that whole library accessible from my laptop and then played through AirTunes speakers.
If you are going to put the library on a file server you need a high performance file server and a fast network connection to the server. A USB drive conected to an Airport routers s NOT a high performance server and WiFi is not a fast network.
The best way to do what you want is to put the library on a desktop mac of some kind. You'd want a fast Firewire external drive and then from inside itunes you "share" the library. This way the over the air protocol works at a higher level and uses a LOT less network bandwidth. The down side is that you need a server computer alsays on. But given the cost of your library (even if those songs were ripped from used CDs you have invested a fortune) so what's added cost of a used mac Mini and a FireWire disk or even a Firewire RAID?
In short your problem is that you are sharing at the file level and you really should be using iTunes to iTunes sharing.

Am I right to say that the Jam Packs "extend" the range of instruments that I have at my disposal?
Yes. Each "jam pack" has dozens or hundreds of instruments and many, many "loops". Loops are performance fragments a few bars long.
These are cost effective but don't compete with the quality of a good specialized single instrument from a third party. Start with one of these
Another way to get a large number of instruments is to buy NI's "Kontakt" or even to download the free version. But Kontakt adds yet another layer of user interface and has a learning curve. Apple's jam packs are transparent as all they do is make some of the menu selections in GB or Logic longer.

My local Best Buy does store bundles, but it's a simple plastic strap holding a console together with an extra controller. Slip the controller out, discard the strap, and voila, you've got a bare console.
My GF actually wanted a PS3 with a spare controller, but not in any of the colors that were bundled. So we slipped out the black controller and inserted a pink controller. No problems.

...The Wii really is just a portable DS in so many ways...
I know the Wii is small but more portable than the DS?
I'll xth the Target recommendation from this thread. Mine came from Target, with the help of some co-workers, and the only stories I've ever heard of people seeing them on the shelves were at Target.
They are definitely doing something right, heck my mother-in-law knows what a Wii is (even how to spell it) and that's really out of the ordinary for her.

I'm all with BanjoBanker. Totally addicted to my iPhone. It's the ultimate portable device, incredibly versatile and proves its handiness in countless situations day in and day out. And you don't need to carry 2 devices (phone and pocket computer)
But there are some downsides, too, most notably the smaller screen. If you'd like to have some screen space for some more serious work, such as writing, movies, pictures, editing, reading etc., then get the iPad. Sure, you need a bag and carry it around.. but depending on the things you want to do, it might be worth it. Also, if you plan to use the device as portable (bedroom) device at home (reading books, watch pics/movies), the iPad is hard to beat.
Still, my vote goes to the iPhone...

That other useless feature - the shutdown - made the dialog pop up again. Now I can finally turn that vault off :-)
Thank you guys! I will never turn this on again.

You aren't doing anything wrong this is an issue with the mobile version of the site, one that I believe we are unable to fix.

I've been waiting for a change to the iBook line-up for a few months, which I know is kind of too soon...but the addition of a 12" DVD model isn't what I was waiting for... I guess it is cool for people to have options, but I was hoping for some better specs.

The simple answer is that if your company is not making enough money to pay a trademark attorney, you don't need a trademark... these are business protections, and without revenue you have little to protect.
Even if you did pay for a trademark, it does not appear you would be able to protect yourself in court (a potentially far more expensive process)... this means that your trademark would soon be invalid because if you do not actively protect your trademark, you lose it.
The high cost of some of these processes can be seen as a deterrent to trademark squatting... not that much different than the people who buy up domain names hoping that someday they will be valuable.
In terms of your specific company (r.e. your PM), because of the strong possibility that many other entities share the same name, I do not think that you would be allowed to take ownership or copyright over it.
Agree, those who don't understand copyright or trademark should either read
http://www.copyright.gov/ and http://www.uspto.gov/
or hire a professional.

Yes, I understand that there are differences between the two types of computers however, Is the 2360QM i7 in the Samsung be as good as the rumored processor in the iMac? I'd be looking at the 21.5 inch model. Specifically the $1200 model which is rumored to have the following
1199$ 21.5" iMac
Intel Core i3-2100 (3.1GHz)
AMD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5
750GB HD
2x2GB RAM; option for 4x2GB
The Samsung has the following

Intel Core i7
Processor Speed
2.0GHz (with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz)
System Memory (RAM)
6GB
Computer Hard Drive Size
750GB
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT525M
Video Memory
1GB GDDR3
I like the Mac OS X OS (and I NEED to have my Mac OS X G4 from 2001 replaced) but I also need a laptop as well and I want the most BANG for my buck.:)
I have $1,200 to spend. Advice is appreciated from the experts here.
Thanks

Not sure where to post "my thoughts" (as if anyone cares) but I haven't been in the right spot at the right time to get an iphone 4. I work during the week so that allows for weekends and nights. I'm actually quite surprised that the walk-in stock has been so scarce. Anyway, this is my first iphone, I think Apple is the smartest company around, they are the leaders, not the followers. IMHO. After calling every store in town that can legally sell the iphone for days and getting on numerous waiting lists, and being told constantly that "I have no idea when there will be more iphone 4's, maybe two weeks" I finally ordered one from my local AT&T store tonight. I'm never home to sign for deliveries and if they won't let me ship it to my office, then I can't do UPS, FedEx, ETC. AT&T let me "pre-order" a phone and have it delivered to the AT&T store, which Apple would not. I'm being told 7 - 14 days for the delivery, so we'll see. Apple is saying 3 weeks.
